Final Treatment Equipment Now Operational

Fifth permanent water filtration process unit now producing filtered water.

The Mount Isa Water Board’s $9.2 million investment into new, micro-filtration water treatment infrastructure is now fully operational. With capacity increased by 25% to more than 22 megalitres per day, the new permanent filtration system is ready to supply the city’s summer water demand. MIWB continues to maintain additional leased filtration capacity as stand-by supply during the new equipment’s proving period.
