27 Jan UPDATED: Additional Closures at Barramundi Way
UPDATED: 15 February 2023
Barramundi Way, located off Moondarra Drive at Lake Moondarra, will be closed to members of the public from 6am Monday 20th to 6pm on Friday 24th. Barramundi Way will be closed to all vehicles from the first entrance off Moondarra Drive (pictured), to Kingfisher Point.
Access to Moondarra Drive and the remainder of Barramundi Way will be unaffected by the closures, and members of the public can continue to access Blackrock Boat Ramp, Transport Bay, Moondarra Lookout and Warrina Park.
Heavy machinery and construction crews will be operating in the closed area along Barramundi Way to install a new stock grid and completion of a stock fence. As Trustee of the R48 Reserve, the Mount Isa Water Board invests in continuous improvement of the R48 Reserve for the benefit of the community and environment. The project will improve the management of cattle and other wildlife, supporting security, safety and biodiversity at the R48 Reserve (Lake Moondarra).
